Here are the DMC thread shades for Mary Wigham but feel free to convert them to whatever threads you prefer. You will need 1 skein each of: 225, 352, 356, 407, 433, 435, 519, 725, 739, 746, 927, 930, 934, 963, 966, 3052,3768, 3822, 3855, 3857, ecru, white, black. There is no 560.
The design size is: approximately 300 stitches by 290. To be as all inclusive as possible we are suggesting 32 count Permin Lambswool stitched over 2 threads and you will need 24" x 24" or 60cm x 60 cm of linen. (The design area will be approximately 20" x 20" - 50cm x 50cm.)
Other counts and cuts are:
28ct - fabric needs to be 29 1/2 x 28 1/2
36ct - fabric needs to be 24 1/2 x 24
40ct - fabric needs to be 23 x 22 1/2
All measurements allow an extra 4 inches on each side for mounting and framing.
Thought I'd drop in and let you all see how I'm progressing with this one. I'm using 6 shades of lilacs in DMC on 40ct Newcastle Linen. Off to start the 2nd chart now :)
Love the colour combo, very similar to what I've chosen for my Lady Quaker. Seeing this picture makes me confirm that I made the right choice. Thanks for sharing your pictures! :)
An now that I've seen how yours is starting to turn out on Antique White, I am really tempted to do it on the White (was tossing up between Newcastle Flax and Antique White). What an inspiration!
Julia, that is gorgeous! I'm thinking the linen is a lighter shade?
ReplyDeleteOh my that is a lot of progress. Well done! x
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely colors! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, the linen is Antique White, but the picture doesn't do it justice.
